James Smith, APK senior and Gator long snapper, was named Red Lobster Scholar of the Game in Saturday’s football game against LSU. Smith also has qualified as a semifinalist for the prestigious
Draddy Trophy, often referred to as the “academic Heisman.”

Dr. Brad Behnke, a new assistant professor in APK, has just been notified that he will receive a prestigious K01 Award. The NIH K01 Award (Mentored Research Scientist Development Award) is a five year award to support intensive career development in the biomedical sciences leading to research independence.
